Reception Trip to South Downs Planetarium

Posted: 28th February 2020

In February the Reception children blasted off on their rocket (coach) to the South Downs Planetarium. The children were all star-struck when entering the big dome and they sat beautifully to watch the night sky appear above their heads. They learned about star constellations, the solar system, the International Space Station and the Moon and Sun. After some rocket fuel (lunch) we continued our day with a quiz and then watched our guide Phil build a rocket. We learned about all the different compartments and what they do. Such a fantastic, informative day. Well done to the children who were exceptionally well behaved and thank you to our parent helpers for joining us.
