Before half term, the Form V and VI children embarked on their residential trip to PGL Liddington. Approximately two hours away by coach, we set off with much excitement and discussion of the numerous activities on offer including: archery, canoeing, the dreaded giant swing, mountain biking, abseiling, Jacob’s ladder, the vertical challenge and fencing to name but a few. We were very fortunate to have a wonderful week of weather and this allowed us to make the most of the outdoors and whittle hours away in the sun.
Throughout our stay, the children’s manners were impeccable and were commented on by a number of instructors and staff. They relished each challenge and conquest and fully supported each other whilst doing so which was a pleasure to see.
Towards the end of the week we had the disco which is always a teacher highlight. Most of the week is spent debating the merits of who they are going with only for them to part like the seas as soon as the music starts playing!
We celebrated three birthdays, learnt countless songs and all in all had a fun-filled time. We were certainly relieved (children and staff included) to return back to school and have a much deserved rest over half term. Thank you to everyone involved that helped to make this trip such a resounding success.
