Whacky Hair Day for Cancer Research

Posted: 30th September 2019

What a fantastic, whacky, colourful day we had on Thursday for Waterloo’s Charity Day raising money for Cancer Research UK. The children came into school fashioning the whackiest hairstyles going. We had coca cola bottles in hair, mermaids, butterflies, all the hair dye you can imagine and a crazy amount of glitter!

After lunch we were treated to an assembly by two lovely volunteers from Cancer Research UK – Nora and Hayley. Some children were able to take part in a pop quiz and Nora and Hayley were very impressed with the children’s knowledge of the charity. We had such a wonderful day and the donations are still rolling in! So far the total money raised is £438 which is absolutely fantastic and I can’t express my thanks enough for all your generosity! Here’s to the next Waterloo Charity Day!
