Form I Trip to Brooklands Museum

Posted: 1st March 2020

The Form I children visited Brooklands Museum this term as part of their ‘Wings & Wheels’ topic. They were fascinated to see the displays of old vehicles, from ‘Daisy’ the first car to ride round the Brooklands track, to Formula 1 racing cars. They saw every type of bike from penny-farthings to speed racing bikes (including a chopper bike). Having tried the Formula 1 car out for size, they visited the Sultan’s plane and even a Concorde. The children climbed to the top of a double decker bus and made a metal plane in the aircraft factory. Phew… exhausting but great fun!
