Year 4 really enjoyed their visit to East Head on Wednesday and we were lucky that the rain held off. First, we made sandcastles, spaced one metre apart from the shoreline up the beach to see how the tide came in. Next, we pretended we were waves and ran up and down the beach with pebbles to demonstrate the process of long shore drift. We also learnt about sea defences, walked around the dunes and made some beautiful natural art.
