Life before Longacre
Following my degree in RPE (Religion, Philosophy & Ethics), I knew I wanted to pursue my love of working with little ones. I gained Early Years experience in a rural forest school nursery outside Henley-on-Thames for a year before embarking on my PGCE. Prior to joining Longacre I have worked across EY & KS1, most recently teaching Year 1 in a mainstream school.
Roles at the School
My primary role at Longacre is as a Pre-Prep form teacher, where my priority is to help the children to fulfil their own personal potential, exploring all their talents in a happy and collaborative environment.
In my other role as Head of RE, I aim to plan activities and trips to immerse the children in other cultures, developing a deeper respect for differing traditions and beliefs. To me, Religious Education is about finding positive examples of shared human experiences.
Away from the Classroom
In my spare time I love nothing more than getting out in nature with my camera and spending time with family. I enjoy indoor climbing and badminton as well as experimental baking.
