Some of our Longacre music students enjoyed a thoroughly intensive musical day at King Edwards Witley on Thursday
Our trip to Portsmouth was brilliant! We started in our classroom that we would have for the day. The other class went into the Mary Rose Museum.
The day dawned fair as our band of travelling thespians verily sallied forth to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on Bankside.
The Fire of London has ignited the imagination of the boys and girls in Form II. They visited St Paul’s Cathedral this week to learn more about the historic event of 1666.
On Friday 29th September the Form I children visited Brooklands Transport Museum as part of their topic “Wings and Wheels”.
Our Form VI pupils were lucky enough to have the Royal Academy come to visit us on Tuesday with a day of charcoal workshops on portraiture.
On Saturday 23rd September Mr Blewitt took a talented side of seven Form II boys to play against six other schools at Lanesborough’s Football Tournament.
On Monday Longacre’s Ski Team travelled up to The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead to compete in the British Independent Schools Skiing Indoor Championships.
During the summer holidays 10 new Micro:Bits arrived on my desk. I excitedly opened the package and got tinkering!
On Thursday Kindergarten hosted their annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic. Mums, dads, grannies and nannies joined the children for a picnic in the Kindergarten playground.
