Life Before Longacre
I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors and design. During my time studying Design & engineering at Brunel University I got involved with the canoe club there that started my love for water sports. Following on from university I went to work for a design studio in London for a few years before deciding a career change to something not at a desk was required! Volunteering as a scout leader during that time made me realise I wanted a career in the outdoors and to work with children. So for the last 4 years I have worked as an outdoor instructor in the summer and chalet host in the winter, working in some amazing places such as Dorset’s Jurassic coast and Chichester harbour.
Roles at School
I teach DT at Longacre and assist with games and PE as well as fixtures.
Away from the Classroom
Away from the classroom I like to get out in my canoe, down rivers or out in the harbour paddling. I also enjoy a good run and a game of badminton.
